I see nothing wrong with response for a few reasons
What if the shoe was on the other foot. Say the donation plate in the Catholic church was banned. Religious freedom is an important part of democracy.
Also, our economy is based on competition and people can choose products that fit their own ideology.
Finally, ASIO the AUSTRAC and others have a job to do which is much easier when you can track the money. As soon as the money is connected to a crime our police services and defence forces will react to protect us from harm. Look at guys like Mokbel and other high money crooks. In the end they get their just deserts.
