Rudd didn't have a very favourable time at his polling place either.

Abbott finished this campaign as preferred Prime Minister however so he has now ticked all the boxes.

There wasn't any polling metric that he didn't beat Rudd in, and the LNP ended up way in front of ALP.

The ALP seriously underestimated the ability of Abbott and his team to stay on message, stay united and offer stability.

Which is what Australians were crying out for.

Rudd broke nearly every lesson he claimed he had learnt the first time round, and failed to capture any momentum or imagination or inspiration from the people at all.

Apart from a very short dead cat bounce that sucked all the ALP cheersquad members in (Hook, Line & Sinker) he lost ground every week against Abbott and has now presided over a loss of mammoth proportions.

Krudd is a true dud. A two-time loser who will be despised by his colleagues for ever more.
