Abbott is going to find himself way out on a limb with his blood oaths by the time the election comes around.
By that the time the C tax will have been around for a couple of years, the sky wont have fallen in, it will have become less about climate change and more about sustainable energy. Popular opinion is very fickle , 80% support for climate change morphed into 80% opposition to a C tax so who knows where it will be by election time.
who will want to vote for someone who has sworn to tear down a course for sustainable energy?
The mining tax is an obvious one, with cost of pressure living costs rising whilst supposedly we are in a boom, people are going to want to know where all the money is. Good luck getting rid of that one too Tony.
Pokie reform is way overdue, most people would probably prefer they never existed anyway, what does it say about society when a club can only survive on the exploitation of gambling addicts? They are boring, soul destroying family wrecking machines.God knows why there is any support for them at all. I reckon more people would go to clubs if they weren't there! Good luck bring the pokies back too Tony.
The Australian people love to knock whoever is in power but when it comes to election time they will have a more serious look at the alternative. Then things will get interesting.
