GFC in Australia??? you got to be kidding. The chinese were booming through that time, and buying up our resources, so much so, government coffers were taking in record tax receipts over the six years. Only one year did tax receipts reduce over the previous year. Anyone with super (shares, Investments etc) suffered a downturn but aren't they only wealthy people?
Labor stop the boats??? that's even better................ as Rudd turbocharged the Indonesian boat charter industry. He gave more Indonesians jobs, than the Indonesian government did.
Now, eagle, "cruelty against refugees in Australia's care"??? Firstly, what bunch of numbnuts relaxed border security to the point, that we we had to work out where to put refugees? and secondly, any cruelty is hard to debate, as the cruelty must have been a little too comfortable, because they kept coming, and if Labor had got in, they were lined up ready to roll again.
