A majority of the public have never liked him, according to past few years' opinion polls. His wholesale breaking of his election promises so soon after winning government has only fired up voters' cynicism towards him.
The Victorian Liberals must be having a nervous wreck right now, they have to face their Victorian electors in a few months' time in November which will be the first opportunity for Victorians who are unhappy with Abbott to vent their anger on his state counterparts.
