Hairyback, Border Mail reporters did not refuse to speak with local people who contacted Tony Abbott's office weeks in advance of the launch in Wodonga; that was Abbott himself.

Nor did Border Mail reporters compile the exclusive invitation list that promoted Sophie Mirabella onto stage and Indi's MP to the audience. Nor did Border Mail reporters force Abbott to kiss Mirabella in public as an apparent show of affection and comradeship - as per the front page headline.

As for the whereabouts of Abbott following the launch, the only way locals were able to work that out was by the placement of unusually large numbers of Police near Susan Ley's office, again nothing to do with Border Mail reporters.

Now what exactly is it that you think Abbott could sue reporters for, even more so given that reporters were invited to take all those photos and to promote the manner in which Tony Abbott was blessing Indi with his presence, after all they even published the full text of his speech online?
