Abbott is well overpaid for the experience and talents he brings. Some might argue the position is underpaid (for the CEOs of the country to want to do the job), but I'm not so sure. This shouldn't be a job people aspire to for money, and Abbott proves the danger in people seeing the PM's salary as your main ambition.
So, in response to the OP - no. Abbott gets paid far too much to destroy the country, and put his family members in advantgeous positions in the process.
