Tony Abbott may be a Rhodes Scholar but it appears he's also a slow learner.
According to this AAP article posted on The Age online:
"... Opposition Leader Tony Abbott's plan to buy boats from Indonesian fishermen to prevent the vessels being used by people smugglers has been slammed by Jakarta as unfriendly and an insult to Indonesia. ..."

This follows stupid comments he made during the 2010 election campaign and his offensive slogan 'Stop the boats'.
Abbott just doesn't get it!
He can't TELL everyone on the planet what to do and expect them to swallow his drool; hook, line and stinker as if HE is THE authority they should worship and kowtow to.
