With abbott getting reinforcement like that from the less educated, just imagine the dogwhistling we're going to see from hereon in. It will be simply sad to watch. Incredible to watch Abbott make his simplistic irresponsible pitch at the most vulnerable. He knows better, but principle has never worried him. He'll resort to anything.
In some ways, I think Australia needs to endure a term with a person like Abbott as PM, to make the less educated realise just where we do not want to go.
