Politically, labor is wiping the floor with them. They are not attacking the record of labor enough and they must defend their own record and their leader better. If they can't defend this one, why should I believe they could do a better job for the next. Why change at all unless it can be shown that the replacement has total support of his colleagues. If the back benchers insist on privately briefing journos, all is lost.
