Anyway, this country cannot afford any more "advances" in education. We need to go back 40 years and stick with what we had back then. Current educational standards are absolutely woeful, as exemplified by ciggys' request for help under the thread "math help". No wonder the country has no manufacturing base - a simple equation - and no-one understands the basics of solving it. ciggys (no offence here, ciggys, it's the system that has failed you) only reaction is to try to find some software to solve the equation!

First reform - remove all computers and programmable calculators from schools.

Second reform - teach facts, not form.

Third reform - external examinations plus hand written practical experiment results for assessment only.
