Nicely played by Abbott. A small concession to make with no major effect on anyone. If he had of started at 100k limit he would have needed to bring it down to a level that did effect people.
I think people are neglecting the fact that most mothers are under 35 and very few of them earn over 100k or 150k. I put it to you that the few that do earn that much spent many years studying or setting up a business and are likely have few assets despite the high income.
The opposition speaking of millionaire mothers getting handouts is delusional at best because no mother will have had enough time to accumulate a million in assets after all the taxes and cost of living in this country.
