    Ewe kannnnnottttt beeee seeeerrriussss!

The lengths some posters on this forum will go to make excuses for the behaviour and poor decision-making of Tony Abbott never cease to amaze me.

    1. So why have Julie Bishop as Foreign Minister?

    2. Why have Bronwyn Bishop acting as Speaker?

    3. Why put your daughters in white dresses and parade them on Australia's political cat walk throughout the election?

    4. Why reference your political commentary to Margaret Thatcher's performance?

    5. Why make glowing references about the Queen to the importance of the monarchy to Australia?

The reality is that Abbott lacks the social intellect to fathom how a differently constructed set of Ministers would operate. Consequently he has resurrected party hacks he perceives will be loyal to him even though they were at best mediocre in office.

First task up and Abbott has tried to construct the future in the context of the past; that's the stuff of impending disaster!

"... It says much about the internal politics of the governing party that the leader feels he must override the merit argument to make some appointments, but for women, it becomes a barrier."
