Justis This focus on Abbott's mortgage is just stupid. Abbott probably has a mortgage in his mid 50s (admittedly not ideal) because he has upgraded. To do this on Sydney's Northern Beaches where Tony lives, would mean going from entry level house @ say $1.2 mill to next mid-range bracket, say $2.4 mill. OK you gotta borrow some money.
To me it shows he has not spent his time focussed on greedy accumulation of wealth (now the domain of our egalitarion brovvers in the ALP). And what a foolish man he is to buy a car! Poor investment, Tony. Why not just rort the ComCar scheme like everyone else in Canberra.
