LOL like the Liberal Party the Labor Party is a broad church and their aspirations are similar. Some a happy with their small inexpensive car, others go upmarket. The reality is that both the major parties are comprised of support from ordinary Australians. Some would call them middle Australia. Some manage their money better than others but most want to improve their financial status.

I had a family friend who was a decent hard working labourer who dug trenches most of his working life and received only the the minimum wage during that time. Yet he became quite wealthy in his own right by wisely investing in real estate. literally kept it close to home too. He would place a small deposit on any home in his street that came up for sale. Would do it up on weekends and rent it out. He would use the equity in that to buy the next home and do the same.

Eventually he owned many of the homes in the street in an inner city suburb and over time the value of these homes sky rocketed. Eventually he sold a few of the homes and was able to fully pay off all the others. By retirement age he could be categorised a wealthy person with income producing homes that were valued many millions. Even when he could have retired much earlier he kept digging trenches on the minimum wage to age 65. A migrant, a Catholic family man, A Labor man. A financially responsible person.

Who you vote for and which political party you support or get elected to is not necessarily determined by the level of wealth one has. There are well off and not so well off in all political Parties.
