1. NOBODY saw the 'economic tsunami' coming - cabinet minister or otherwise
2. There is NO property bubble in Sydney - just sustained very high property prices
3. Buying your own home is not 'speculation'
4. Public education in Australia is not underfunded; just poorly managed (evidenced by the relatively poor outcomes achieved in the BER cash splash)

And by the way, virtually no ALP pollies went to or send their kids to state schools. Virtually all NSW ALP identities are a product of the inner city and inner suburban Catholic education schools.

I know of 'disadvantaged' state schools that are awash with funds. What they lack is someone with the wit to spend all of this money wisely (again refer to the BER outcomes in state schools compared with independent schools)
