Maybe Indonesia could insist anyone visiting their country should have a return ticket to their country of origin or to another country. Then if their boat is turned back Indonesia puts them on the next plane out of there.
I can understand Indonesia not wanting so many asylum seekers being returned and becoming their problem but if they tightened up on entry conditions then that should no longer be an issue.
Will be interesting to see what can be negotiated. Labor have seriously underestimated the coalition under Abbott so far.
