Moondoong, Tony Abbott is returning Australia to colonial era and discrimination against the poor and the vulnerable not dissimilar to life on the Ballarat goldfields.
It's increasingly apparent that Abbott is raiding the welfare and foreign aid cookie jars and transferring the proceeds to the wealthiest 5% of people in Australia. The alienation and loss of identity this will cause has already manifested itself as community rejection of his rotten 2014 Budget, the dumping of Victoria's first term LNP government and the unprecedented low opinion poll ratings for a first term federal government.
The public is screaming at Abbott that he's doing the wrong thing but HE's not listening. Indeed, some in his government appear to be telling him to ignore the noise and run roughshod over mainstream Australians.
Well it takes decades to build community fabric to the point we enjoy in Australia.
Abbott has already dealt that community fabric a massive body blow and if he continues his assault against the poor and the vulnerable people will become increasingly alienated and open to the suggestions of those we're labelling as terrorists. I wonder to what extent that will please Abbott's wealthy backers; themselves now enjoying public handouts due to John Howard's changes to superannuation etc.
