He would have romped in the election whether he lied ,told the truth or said nothing . A drovers dog would've won the election. It's actually irrelevant ,not that I personally believe he said too much wrong
As such you confuse outcomes with process ,a disease of the union ,public service ridden ALP.
I'd rather have someone smart who flirted with the truth to achieve an outcome ,than some numbskull who was honest but incompetenent ,or worse still as we have seen in recent years people who were dishonest and incompetent.
Of course Abbott is doing things and getting results so in the end all they can throw at him is how he went about it ,the complete non business orientated political observers excuse
