Never mind that even if he had achieved those surpluses, it would have taken generations to pay off the debt.
Fortunately, the adults are back in charge - adults with experience in managing businesses, balancing accounts and budgeting responsibly, as opposed to those whose experience is limited to fiddling -er - managing unionists' funds.**
