Abbot has changed his views on things, is this a bad thing. Being a realist means that sometimes you have to do, or vote for things that you may not agree with. If he did not change his mind in the face of overwhelming evidence then you would end up calling him Ruddyminded. It seems Ms Gillard has changed her mind from time to time too, so unless this is the exclusive providence of ms gillard i think labor needs to change their tacits.

NBN, is a joke beyond compare. Someone posted that it was originally costed at around $5b, its grown to $47b, that Quigley has suggested the cost be more. Some countries are going fibre because they have densily populated centres. Other countries are going directly to wireless and skipping wired/fibre because its not a cost effective medium. Current wireless is around 50mb persecond, with 40mb for WiMax. WiMax is expected to be able to support speeds of 1gb in the near future. Providing WiMax coverage for most of australia will cost a fraction of what fibre will cost. At the moment NBN is looking to rollout over 8 years so if you are waiting for faster broadband dont hold your breath.
