Just because a person is "charged" with an offence, it doesn't mean that they are guilty of anything. They have the presumption of innocence. they need to be found "guilty" by a Court of Law or a properly constituted Tribunal before judgement can be passed.....by anyone!!!
Having said that, if the current government policy is to have our troops involved in Afghanistan, the troops should be supported by the Government, 100%. They should not only have all of the equipment and resources at their disposal, to allow them to get the job done, but they must have the overwhelming support of our leaders, and be seen to have that support. Our troops are well trained and more than capable. Their bravery cannot be challenged.
If the Government chooses not to fully support the troops, 100%, GET THEM OUT!!!!
There is no room for cheap politics in all of this. We are dealing with peoples lives here, and the sooner the fools in Canberra acknowledge that fact, the better off we will all be.
