    I disagree sypaladin.

    There are "juries" and there are "juries".

    Lawyers are very cunning individuals. Juries, if Defence counsel have their way, are not chosen because of high intellect.

    You don't want some of the juries I have seen making decisions on sentencing.

    Mind you, some of the politically motivated and appointed Judges and Magistrates aren't real flash either.
