I'm not saying he isn't a hard worker and blah blah blah... but please.... he didn't write his books - let's just get that one minor detail straight.

Also, buying boats is ridiculous.. It says a lot about how far the level of debate has fallen that we have conservative people here suspending common sense and saying it's reasonable.
It's utterly moronic! A brand new boat can be sabotaged and start taking on water as soon as those Australian Navy flags are seen on the horizon. Yes we can charge the smugglers with some maritime crime later on but in the meantime, the boat will be unable to be towed back and the refugees will have to be transferred to the Australian Navy boat.
It's not a complex system - There's about 4 steps of logic required here.
