I find it breathtaking that you manage to somehow blame Abbott for the gender pay gap despite having a Federal Labor Govt in power since 2007 with a female PM, Labor appointee Elizabeth Broderick as Sex Discrimination Commissioner, female head of the ACTU, until very recently female Labor premiers in NSW and QLD .... but the widening gap is somehow TA's fault.

And re teachers... Gillard has wasted billions on the laughable 'Building Australia's Education Revolution' and yet done nothing to lift the status and pay of the profession which she largely and conveniently blames for our poor international education ranking eg 'Ms Gillard says she will insist on new measures to boost the quality of school teachers - including annual performance reviews.' and Garrett with 'Every school teacher in Australia will face annual performance assessments from next year and those found wanting will be sent back to school.'
And what is stunning is that these same stupid teachers will take that kick in the guts and then turn around and be manning the booths for the ALP at the next Federal election.
