Bailer, this is pure rubbish. The program was fantastic. No lies, no BS, people uttering their own words, direct reportage, cameras showing events as they were happening. We all remember the era of the Shah of Iran, his megalomania, his love for what he considered to be the West and which ultimately invited the CIA into the country and which trained probably good couple of generations of spies. We also remember very clearly the riotus welcome the Ayatolla received when he came back in, after the Shah left like kicked dog with his tail between his legs. We remember the Egyptian upheaval and the similar invitation of the CIA into that country (via Kissinger). These and all the other things shown in that film are accurate. Now some will take them to mean that the West is evil, others that the East is the evil one. But the word is used by both sides. In fact, by both countries: USA (Reagan) and Iran (Ayatolah Homeini.) That part makes no difference. But to rely on the ramblings of an agenda-directed journo about a film of any substance is to say, "no I don't want to think for myself," a common type of reasoning for the fascists who love the uniform and invest it with absolute and supreme authority over their lives and their minds. No private thinking, no hard mental yakka, just racing off to the local Mackas, oops, sorry, church to hear what they must do.
