Ever since Mattis announced his retirement- I like the way anybody on the Anti-Trump side has been hogging microphones praising Mattis to the heavens as the greatest military authority in Western military history.
Yet I am not aware of anybody on the Anti-Trump side praising Mattis during the years he has held his Trump appointment.
Likewise before Trump announced his withdraw from Syria - I was never much aware of anti-Trumpers saying - OH US troops are essential in Syria assisting our Kurdish allies - doing a great and vital job - Trump must keep US troops there.
My own view is I have always seen Mattis as a solid member of Trumps team and I would prefer he remained.
