Considering the report Anvil has put on their website it seems they have pretty good answers for everything.
They made the 2 day presentation to the same Patrica Feeney quoted in the ABC article. Interestingly enough the quote from Feeney in the ABC doesn't concern the company at all except as potential witnesses to the military wrongdoings. Only Meeran and the ABC continue to push the anti Anvil barrow.
"Chief executive Tricia Feeney says the new claims in the UN report could prove to be critical.
"Having the presence of Anvil drivers, who must've been important witnesses of some of the alleged human rights violations carried out by the Congolese armed forces, would be an incredibly important source of material for future criminal prosecutions of the Congolese military who were primarily responsible for these violations," she said."
I'd go so far to suggest Meeran has his knickers in a knot things are not going his way so it was time to get another headline, no matter how relevant, to keep his hopes alive.
