    Q and A is also loaded up with people from the right.
    In any case, the lefties you speak of should give a liberal a free kick to espouse whatever they like. Most politicians would have orgasms over opportunities like that.

    I'm guessing you don't actually watch Q and A because it might come as a surprise to you that the panellists get to say whatever they like. The audience ask a few questions and observe.
    But the guests choose what they wish to say.... or are you saying audience members of a certain ilk simply put words in politicians' mouths?

    Re the television news: one or two scripted lines in a news story does not compare to an hour on your feet confronting questions you're completely unprepared for. Trust me the one liners on the news are thoroughly workshopped for all politicians. Although sometimes even these are too hard to manage.... “I am going to, um, shirt front Mr Putin ... ah, you bet you are … ah, you bet I am, ah ...”
