Years ago, (I don’t know about now, due to funding cuts) the ABC would always respond in writing to written complaints about bias. For example I tried to hold them to account about a biased item on ABC News which was straight out of the Israeli propaganda textbook. They tried to weasel out of it with more Israeli propaganda in their reply, so I kept at them until they made a seemingly veiled admission that the writer of the news item may indeed have had biased views on the issue.

One ABC bias I’m fully in favour of is the bias against whichever political party happens to be in government, for obvious reasons. That’s not guaranteed by private enterprise media, who also are less likely to hold to account companies who (could) advertise with them.
