their excuses appear thin to me, later break may have affected herbicide sales in some areas but not all, some areas would have used much more knockdown herbicide than last year due to an earlier (than last year) break.

hoarding from last year? maybe, but not on a broad enough scale to 'dramatically' reduce sales.

more likely they couldn't compete on price with other generics, i don't know but i reckon they must have lost market share. the farmoz's and sipcam's etc have been very aggresive in pricing.
