Yep it really is a nothing burger being made into an a la carte feast by the loonies. The apology was for the misunderstanding of Smith's apparent view that he was against renewables. That was a very minor part of the full exchange. Smith is a fan of nuclear which he promotes strongly. If Smith wants to get his dial into the debate on energy, which he has zero qualifications, he needs to cop a bit of criticism along the way. Smith seems a tad precious in all this.
