    While applauding the coverage of the fire crisis provided by these two, as well as the efforts of their reporters no doubt under distress & hardship, I think it's fair to say they have been gleefully pushing the politics button with many of their headlines. They know full well that many readers just scan the headlines or, even if they read in full, it's the headline which sticks.
    Whether it's the RFS Chief criticising the PM, only to be reported later as complaining about not being warned about the PM announcing his deployments, or the constant linking to climate change, these media are being less than honest. And it doesn't raise their image at all in my view.
    There are or should be a few golden rules for media and one of them is don't politicise disasters.
