Did the ABC point out that miners pay 30% corporate tax + royalties and that the government promoted 17% was complete rubbish?

Did they point out that Clive Palmer is just one individual, not representative of all mining companies invested in Australia? Or was the focus more on the fat cat billionaire?

Did they point out that Iron Ore and Coal markets differ significantly to other minerals that this tax effects?

Did they point out that mining employees directly and indirectly 500,000 people in Australia.

Did they point out that the tax is flawed as no one can possibly get funds at the long bond rate as modeled?

Did they point out that over the last decade more foreign capital flowed into developing this country than was realised as profit. Counter to what government propaganda would have us believe.

Did they mention virtually all profit from the last decade was reinvested in this country?

Did they mention the shock from international financiers and the emergence of sovereign risk?

    No, didn't think so.

Don't get too carried away with your breathless appraisal of 'the most reputable investigative program...' Eagle. I don't think it'll shock anyone to label the ABC biased.

BTW, I attended them AMEC conference in Perth (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies), which represents the small end of town. Rudds name is mud, no one wants this tax.
