I believe many here are feeding into the mining magnates hands. Very few here care to note the royalties that will be scrapped and only seem to care for the short term direction of their shares.
While the super tax is unpopular, I believe Henry is correct.
Mining companies are of the Kerry Packer mentality. "It's not about tax avoidance, it's about tax minimisation"
Of course they are going to come out with all guns blazing, of course they are not accountable for misleading comments, of course they don't want to pay more tax, of course they want to whip everyone up into a frenzy, of course most people behave like sheep!

Mining companies with their proposed agenda, like a dodgy accountant can make the numbers say what they want them to say, they are not obligated to present factual evidence, they can make whatever claims they want!
eg: 30,000 jobs lost in the mining industry twiggy stated recently. Were there really?

Can see the forest for the trees!
