kenneth I don't care for the NBN either. But those other things you mentioned, school building program, batts, harvey norman gift vouchers, are what helped us avoid a recession.
Think about that, the gov stimulus program avoided a recession. Thats not opinion, that is the treasury reports. thats facts. our taxes paid for it, and it is some short term pain, but better over the long term.
if it didnt happen who knows how high unemployment would be. And then tax revenue would reduce further, budget would take longer to get out of deficit, it would have been much worse over the long term.
get some longer term thinking. Rudd saved us from recession. That alone is worth re-election.
Maybe ask the thousands of builders who are currently employed working on the school building program what they think about our tax dollars. Would you prefer them unemployed and on welfare?
