LNG is the way to move large quantities of gas long distances for indeterminate amounts of time.
Pipelines are expensive to build and run, and have a too-long lead time.
Spot cargos can be picked up cheaply and are flexible. Its the way the world has gone, just Barnaby has not caught on.
