As was shown in the "burned hands" matter they did not investigate as a responsible reporter of news should.
In this case they seem to be protecting Turnbull when they should just put the facts out. Frequently the ABC shows bias by ommission, it is no longer an Australian icon as it was up until around ten years ago.
There is a broad body of opinion that considers that the NBN will be a disaster no matter what intervention has taken place since the change in Government and until it is complete.
Should that be the case then the problem lays with the initial "planning" on the beer coaster and maybe it needs to put into legislation that this type of "nation building" infrastructure cannot be commenced without a proper cost/benefit analysis.
Not easy to do, but the bottom line is that governments of all persuations should be held to account when they make major stuff ups.
Directors of public company's are and rightly so because it is not their maney that is being pi55ed against the wall but shareholders (read taxpayers).
