I am not suggesting otherwise. Obviously, Buru have a commitment to achieving best practice above and beyond WA government requirements. I think they should aim higher.
I'm concerned that a couple of the chemicals used in the process can potentially cause problems with the central nervous system and/or birth defects (in animals, this a known). I would prefer that alternatives to these chemicals were found.
I would also like Buru to publish the quantities of each chemical intended to be used, and actually used. If the process is completely safe to the environment they should not have a problem with this.
They also need to provide scientific evidence backing up the claim that the process is safe. Once you screw up a water table there is no fixing it.
