@Furpo2; your comments re Ita Buttrose closely match what I've noticed - prior to 9:00am each day ABC News has degenerated into a couch based gossip session talking about everything except the news.
These days, I watch the news on SBS more than I do on the ABC.
Please note that my comments re Murdoch's evil empire do not hark back to your era therein - The Australian once was indeed a premier news product, sadly not any more as its best writers scurry to find more reputable news outlets.
Trump's lies and their promotion by Murdoch Mouthpieces are worse than ridiculous, they've done massive damage to the USA and may well yet see $Countless $Billions in damages claims and even jail terms.
