Still believe the ARI carcass has some breath left and will be saved if the powers that are placed in control (not the current people) can amputate the festering joint (mine) and prescribe the appropriate doses of medicine required to other struggling sectors being the furnace and mill.
From a long term perspective as a shareholder I would be happy to see the NTA preserved (whatever that may now be) and the orderly repayment of debt to an agreed level of exposure which could be accelerated if IO price continues to improve.
The potential loss to banks is probably much greater than their exposure to ARI should all operations be closed. What would the houses and businesses in Whyalla be worth as security for existing advances if ARI closed its doors?
Does look as if some real hard discussions are taking place which is certainly a very encouraging signal to all stakeholders.
