this is going to be a nice little runner for 2017.
promotion of MCA has hardly started outside of the listing news.... even the "murraycodaustralia" website not even up and running yet.... still relies on the old Timpetra site. love it.
demand for quality food is ever-growing.... and protein is becoming more and more sort after in emerging economies... let alone in the "west".
though not a "wild sourced product"... MCA cod is "as Aussie as can be"... and the water the fish is grown in is as Aussie as can be.
a premium product... a fresh new product for "foodies" which has been absent from the market due to wild fishing restrictions... the fish themselves are hungry little devils.... not fussy and high maintenance like blue fin and kingfish.... cod to be raised in a nice controlled environment.... fresh water as opposed to salt... no seals poaching stock from pens.... close to rail and road... cashed up.... high barriers to entry for competition.... tightly held register... highly regarded in rags like AFR... early mover advantage.... vertically integrated from hatchery to plate.... and the hatchery also dabbles in other Aussie native species.
struggling to find any negatives.
