I was in a small NSW country town the other day. I wont mention the name of the town for reasons that will become obvious later on in the story.
This town had a fabulous little lake in the centre of its horse racing track. One night at the pub, a few of the locals got together and decided that if they could get blast the rocks out of the lake, they could use it for water skiing. So off they went with tinnies, gellignite and no doubt a few more beers.
They blasted the rocks and, over a period of weeks all the water diappeared out of the lake. Yep they blew a hole in the bedrock.
What was once pristine lake now a dry paddock (with a lot of rocks and an overgrown racetrack.
Old homestead next door still called lakeview! lol
