Yes does seem expensive. I guess wind power is the closest comparison as there are no ongoing fuel costs, and other running costs ought to be fairly light.
I wonder if this cost is for an initial prototype and presumably could be made cheaper if mass produced. Also unsure if this includes desalination, would have to take into account the cost of running a seperate desalination plant otherwise.
