I assume someone has done some calculation of line friction for moving a lot of high pressure water over considerable distance, unless very large diameter pipes (expensive) are used this could waste a lot of energy.
Also placing and maintaining anything on the sea bed is expensive and fraught with problems, just look at the costs incured by the oil industury to maintain there equipment. I know this all sounds negative, but I do like the idea and wish them luck.
