On Iran matters:

14 minute video clip here for anyone interested. It is by Nick Kristof (New York Times reporter) on his recent 1700 mile trip around Iran. My guess is he has done this to renew old contacts and to make new ones so he can phone them when news worthy events start to happen. Not long now perhaps: toxic combination of rising unemployment and rising inflation. I presume the pick up in uranium enrichment speed is to provoke us to attack, but nobody will be daft enough to. Factories can't get supplies (due to cut-off from Swift?). The Koreans are stopping buying oil from Iran. Car import parts down by $200m in first few months of this year (recall some car assembly plants closed). With $4bn in lost oil sales per month, the rial may devalue more. All this just to purchase "nuclear ambiguity" (hence they can't agree to a transparent nuclear program?). I think it will be a matter of months before Iranians rise up and say "enough is enough". I can't think of a dumber time to "dispose" of Mehdiabad, but with Jordinson's last but one company he was CEO going bust I shouldn't be surprised, I suppose. All IMO. DYOR.
