    You do love to bait but you're certainly not alone. People will have a mix of views depending on the topic so any term is a generalisation from a number of views over a particular time. The left is progressive, often pushing for untested policy changes and hold at least some strong socialist ideals, especially economic. Right promotes little change or change over I longer period of time and advocates more liberal free market ideals. The Coalition is represented by people who have a mix of ideals, some socialist or protectionist (Nationals)and some very liberal. The lines are often blury when looking at a cross section of economic and social policy. That is why I suggested there was no definitive line! Based on views expressed (over time) Turnbull would be considered someone in the centre right, that being left of where the Coalition is at the moment. Probably explains why he has upset many from the right to far right and why he has been given so much leverage from the ABC.
