Here we go again, switching channels yesterday, caught a glimpse of the ABC, well what do we have here.
It's the UBI fan club - Universal Basic Income. UBI The Great Lie, the fastest way to dystopia.
No mention of inflation. No mention of people not wanting to work, we know this is real, we've seen what covid support payments did. No mention of the massive increase in the level of government control over the economy. No mention of lifelong dependency on welfare. No mention of any increases in taxation to pay for it all, and who that tax burden would fall on. No mention of loss of production for the economy, with the same number of people chasing fewer goods/services produced.
You can see what comes next, Greta says 'how dare you earn more than the universal basic income'.
Time to rise up against the evils of UBI and push for the right of people to retain much more of what they earn. Encourage people to get out and do something with their lives, to work, to educate, to produce, to progress.
And if you think you owe someone else a living, do us all a favour, you pay for it.
