The basic problem Abbott has, is that he's simply not equipped for the job. Doesn't have the knowledge, doesn't have the social skills, doesn't have the wit, doesn't have the personality, doesn't have the temperament, doesn't have the discretion, doesn't have the passion. All he has is a selfish obsession with antiquated, outdated ideology, and he takes any opportunity he can to disregard his party and his country, and make a mad Captain's Call, in the hope of impressing his heroes in Buckingham Palace.

That's why, as a rule, he avoids interviews and scrutiny of his 'beliefs'.

But now, faced with the fact that his secrecy and avoidance of scrutiny isn't working, born again Newtony has decided he needs to do more interviews.

Should be fantastic entertainment if he continues on that path.

He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
