    ABC radio;

    our local station has only one or two newsreaders.

    i think both are women..I don't pay it a LOT of attention

    EXCEPT one of them who has the job for some sort of equal empowerment reasons..I dunno what..but you find yourself getting seasick while you listen to the news and realise "Oh hell, it's her"

    She puts the emphasis on the wrong bloody word all the time..so in that phrase the emphasis would be on "puts" and bloody..

    This morning "The Commonwealth Baton Relay" the emphasis goes on relay?

    So you think..Ahh, so she's not talking about the baton highjump or the baton soccer, or the baton hurdles..it's the RELAY..Ahhh..

    Subject predicate, verb, noun, adjective..all that stuff.

    What king of relay is it..it's a BATON relay.

    Imagine what it's like when it's world affairs or hot politics.

    I'm not kidding, the commercial stations are better!
    But their content ain't too flash. (What Justin Bieber had for lunch..)

    Sometimes I think she thinks she's putting her own flair on the news reading. Sometimes I think she's sort of dyslexic.

    Just read the bloody news.! Or give it to someone who can.

    We've had this bird for at least a couple of years.

    Around 8 years ago we had similar. I rang and suggested they get someone who could read. "Ahh give the girl a go, she's alright".

    National broadcaster. News. "Give 'em a go."

    What about giving US a go? ABC ?
